In the Dark Ages of a global pandemic, Justin Wright, Anthony Pistotti, and Evan Amo began meeting virtually to workshop cocktail recipes and write music, transforming riffs into songs from different places throughout the country. Perhaps it was repressive circumstances or just longings of emergent middle age, but OSV sought to make rock fun again. The music was bound by two rules: it had to rock and it had to speak to them—natural yet imaginative, intentional yet accessible. One Star Villain is three normal-ass dudes making rock music that is just a little familiar, a lot fresh, and cool as hell.
